Probable Starting XI of Manchester United vs Brentford: Maguire benched; Ronaldo, Malacia starts

Started the new season on a low pace losing for the first time at Old Trafford to Brighton (1-2), a game new boss Erik ten Haag described as a "setback and a real disappointment", the Dutch tacticians will be looking forward to making amends this week as they visit Brentford on Saturday late night fixture.

In a match to record their first win of the season and extend their unbeaten run against tricky Thomas Frank's side, Haag will be pulling all the cards on deck, reshuffling the previous lineup as a draw or loss can be afforded in his second debut.

Likely changes to the previous lineup

While David De Gea maintains the goal post, Captain of the side Harry Maguire who could not make a perfect pair with new signee Lisandro Martinez is highly likely to make the bench, paving way for Raphael Varane to start this week.

Made his debut from the bench - Tyrell Malacia will be deployed to the left-back equilibrium to Diogo Dalot.

Used as false nine, Eriksen will drop to his usual role, the central midfield pairing with Fred and Bruno Fernandes while Scott McTominay makes progress from the bench.

Jason Sancho and Marcus Rashford will continue to occupy the wings whilst Cristiano Ronaldo leads.

Starting XI: De Gea, Malacia, Martinez, Varane, Dalot, Eriksen, Fred, Fernandes, Sancho, Ronaldo, Rashford.
