CAF Champions League: Asante Kotoko holds FC Nouadhibou in preliminary round first leg

Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, also known as Asante Kotoko, is a professional football club from Kumasi, Ashanti Region in Ghana West Africa. Their home grounds is based at Baba Yara Stadium in Amakom, Kumasi. They compete in the Ghanaian Premier League. 


Asante Kotoko made sure about a significant away outcome against Mauritanian side FC Nouadhibou in the principal leg of the CAF Confederation Cup starter round on Sunday. The game finished 1-1. 

Osman Ibrahim scored in the initial minutes of the game for Asante Kotoko as he hooked onto a pass from Emmanuel Gyamfi on the edge of the punishment box and hit the ball into the correct base corner. 


The home side almost thought of the equalizer a couple of moments later yet Kwame Baah was capable as he concocted a fine spare. FC Nouadhibou thought of the equalizer after the official had granted a punishment to the home side in the 21st moment.
