Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala scores twice as Asante Kotoko put 4 goals past Kozoya SC in friendly

Ugandan international striker Steven Dese Mukwala scored twice as Ghana Champions Asante Kotoko beat Kozoya SC 4-1 in a club friendly played on Friday morning.

The game was played at their Adako Jachie training complex near Kumasi as Kotoko prepare for the resumption of the betPawa Premier League competition.

Mukwala's brace, was added to by Samuel Boateng who also scored twice as the Porcupines completed a comfortable victory over the lower tier side.

Coach Seydou Zerbo, has now seen his side score 11 goals in the three matches since the league was put on hold, and, he will hope his charges can translate this into competitive action when the season resumes.

The former Burkina Faso national team coach, has been tasked to secure all domestic trophies after their failure to go far in the CAF Champions League competition this season.

Asante Kotoko were eliminated from the campaign by the champions of Burkina Faso Rail Club du Kadiogo, and, now have domestic competitions to aim for.

They won the GPL title last season, and, as well as looking to defend that title, Asante Kotoko will also aim to add the FA Cup trophy this season.
