Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been in scintillating form in the Ghana premier league this season. They have performed admirably to take the lead. They have been the side to beat this season. After an awful previous season, they have gotten their acts together after the appointment of Dr Prosper Nartey, the former WAFA coach. He has been a revelation this season. They are 7 points ahead of their closest rivals, Bechem United having played a game less.
Their perennial rivals Hearts of Oak haven't been at their best. They have flattered to deceive this season. They are not too far behind. They can catch up with Kotoko if they can rediscover their form. Asante Kotoko have paraded a very young squad this season and it seems to be working for them. What is so amazing about them is that they have assembled a virtually new side altogether with just a few old faces remaining. The way they have been able to understand each other as a team after such a short period of time is great. Their Cameroonian imports are performing so well. They have been banging in the goals for fun.
Let's see what happens at the end of the season. They are in the pole position to bring the title back to Kumasi.
