Most times people ask what's special about the Guinness book of record, the truth is that it makes talented people to see achievements and work towards becoming better people. Yes! Just by taking a glance in the Guinness World Record, you will be motivated to do more and be like the people whose names are already inside.

Have you ever thought of Ghanaians being part of the Guinness World Record? Well, there are Ghanaians whose names are written in the Guinness World Record, and I must say that it is a big achievement for our country, Ghana.

1.) FERDIE ATO ADOBOE

Ferdie Ato Adoboe is a Ghanaian athlete who is very good at what he does. He ran a 100 meters race and finished in 13.6 seconds, and this took place at Smith College, Northampton, Massachusetts, USA. This event was a memorable one.

2.) RICHARD MENSAH OFORI AND DANIEL ASHITEY AMARH

Richard Mensah Ofori and Daniel Ashitey Amarh broke the record of the fastest time to walk over 10 obstacles while carrying a person on the head, and also standing on one foot. In just 21.83 seconds, they were able to remain balanced and this happened in Milan, Italy.

3.) DICKSON OPPONG

Dickson Oppong has his nickname as Waterman, because of his record of the longest time to spray water from his mouth without being interrupted under 32.65 seconds. However, he has been overthrown by a twenty-year-old guy with a record of 56.36 seconds.

Also, did you know that Ghana made the record for the longest dinner table?

Ghana holds the record of the longest dinner table and this happened at an occasion where the table was able to contain 3,000 guests. The occasion was held at Independence (Black Stars) square in Accra, and it was sponsored by ONGA food seasoning.

Let's work hard in order to get more achievements and show the world that Ghanaians are great people. Hopefully in the nearest future, Ghana could be the Giant of Africa.
