Hearts of Oak are looking forward to energize and encourage their boys in other to come out with a lot of hopes for injured players that are becoming too much for the club. The coach is forcing to play players in force positions and believe to get the expected results. The Continental club masters are willing to put everything in place to make sure that they return to help the club get to the trophy they have been craving for. The midfielder who joined Hearts from Vision FC spent last season with the side as was shaping up to be a key member of the side when the COVID-19 Pandemic broke out which forced the cancellation of the league.
‘Well people who really love you in life always want luck to fall on your side and even surpass wherever you are now so they see you at higher heights. But being a Muslim I believe everything is time and getting called at the National Under-23 team and joining Accra Hearts Of Oak had to be my biggest breakthrough in my career so far. Some might say I need luck but even where I am now am lucky enough. A lot of good footballers we’ve known before didn’t even get the chance to play for these two big clubs in Ghana which I am in one now. So am lucky enough.’
Ahead of the matchday nine fixture against Techiman Eleven Wonders next weekend, Hearts of Oak was been handed a major boost with midfielder Emmanuel Nettey, Mamane Lawali, and Nurudeen Abdul Aziz recovering from injury. Today, the midfield trio has trained with the players at the club as preparations continue for the clash against Eleven Wonders next weekend. The match was been scheduled to be played on Sunday, January 17, 21, and will kick-off at 18:00GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Aziz, on the other hand, has played the waiting game, grinding out substitute minutes and bagging valuable experience whenever he can.
Aziz was very instrumental in the set up of Papic but decided to bench him in the opening games by Nii Odoom. His position at the time of Papic was sometimes occupied by William Denkyi who have been versatile for Hearts of Oak this season with his inter-positional play. Unluckily, on the side of Aziz, coach Boadu's arrival did not meet him in a good condition and now struggling to start training after his injury. He struggled somewhat in his first season at Hearts with few games in a struggling side- however; a step up in class wasn’t the only factor to take into consideration. At Vision FC, he was the star man, the player his teammates would look to for inspiration as he was given a free role in the team, yet he would be afforded no such royalties in Edward Odoom’s side. The way he glides past defenders and opposition midfielders with the ball at his feet is poetic. He may not possess a lethal finish and pace, but he’s got the technical skill and a dribbling ability unmatched by the other midfielders in the Hearts dressing room. In essence, he provided, he provided a mature complement to Lawali and acted as a bridge between the rock-solid backline and the lethal attack.
