In-form Black Stars winger Osman Bukari could miss World Cup after picking up a knock in a UEFA Champions League qualifying game yesterday. Despite remaining a marksman for his club, Red Star Belgrade, he was substituted in yesterday’s game as a measure to prevent any unbearable injury.
Head coach of Red Star Belgrade Dejan Stankovic, looks forward to the outcome of further test and assessment that will be conducted in Osman Bukari.
"Bukari was forcibly replaced, we are waiting to come to Belgrade, we will do the control, then we will know more. He asked for a change, it happened at a moment when we were already changing, but well, I hope it's not a big problem when it comes to him," he said after the game.
Osman Bukari was Red Star Belgrade’s main creator against Maccabi Haifa last night; creating 4 chances - the highest among Red Star players, and second overall in the match. Bukari created an assist and he was unlucky to find the net, before he was subbed off with a knock.
Following his transfer to Red Star Belgrade this window, Osman Bukari has been a sensation for the Serbian powerhouses, netting goals in both domestic and continental games.
