Thomas Tuchel’s boys will seek to emulate the success of their former heroes but before that the task of securing a top 4 spot awaits them as they host Arsenal on Wednesday evening.
During the press conference ahead of the match, the Chelsea boss revealed that there are plans for a summer transfer activity. Regarding ins and out the boss did not specify who was coming and who was going out. He said “we have some ideas how to improve the squad? Yes, we do. But will we fight about it? No, we will not. We will discuss it and first of all we will finish this season because it is not time to reflect now.” He added that "Transfer periods can be real mood breaks between coaches and clubs and I don't want to have this ever again. I have zero ambition to ruin this atmosphere, not for myself or for anybody else."
Chelsea has however been linked with strikers in the past week and the latest of them is Harry Kane. Harry Kane is desperately in need of a trophy to grace his career and it is said that Chelsea might be in the swoop for him should he consider to opt out of Tottenham. The likes of Lukaku, Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski are all being considered as options for the club.
However, Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud are expected to leave the club at the end of the season after being frozen out in the squad.
Which striker or player do you want at Chelsea next season?
