Super packed football games this weekend in Ghana

This weekend starting from today is going to be packed with a lot of football activities related to Ghana football.

The Black Stars of Ghana just played against Japan at the Kirin Cup soccer cup at the Noevir Stadium, Kobe Hyogo this afternoon

The Senior National team of Ghana Lost (1-4) against the Japanese side with a depleted side as Covid-19 had infected five players in the squad, they are Gideon Mensah, Osman Bukari, Dennis Odoi, Elisha Owusu and Kamaldeen Sulemana 

Coach Otto made new call-ups in the person of Maxwell Woledzi a defender, Midfielder Abu Francis and goalKeeper Ogura to replace the infected player

This match is serving as a preparation for the world cup in Qatar later this year


Ghana will now play in the third-place match against the winner of the clash between Chile and Tunisia 

The Tournament is slated to end on 14th June 2022

And on Saturday 11 June 2022 in Cape Coast, the U17 of Ghana will play their Nigeria counterpart in the WAFU Zone B mini Tournament. The Tournament which is expected to kick start on Saturday, June 11 to Friday, June 24 will host countries from west Africa.

Ghana U17 will Nigeria and Togo with the other group having Niger, Cote D’lvoire, Benin and Burkina Faso

This will also serve as the qualification for the Africa U17 Cup of Nations 

The Women's FA cup final between Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Hasaacas Ladies will clash again at the Baba Yara Stadium a repeat of the league final

Could this clash be a repeat or the Defending Champions will redeem themselves 

And Finally on Sunday, The Ghana Premier League Coronation will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium to crown the Ghana Premier League Champions at 4:00 pm


According to Obeng Nyarko Kotoko Communication and Brands manager, women will be allowed into the stadium free


The Porcupine Warrior will play already relegated Elmina Sharks in a coronation match on Sunday. This match is the tradition of the Ghana Football Association to crown the champion of the GPL with a match like this
