The Welshman stayed on the bench at Bilbao, but even from there he was the protagonist. The cameras at El Chiringuito captured an image in which he can be seen laughing out loud when Eden Hazard returns to the bench after warming up.
The Belgian was doing exercises on the wing, but Ancelotti decided that he should sit down without going out on the pitch. When Hazard returned to his seat and greets his teammates, that is when Bale bursts out laughing at the situation.
While Madrid suffered on the pitch, in the 75th minute, and Ancelotti looked for solutions, the Welshman, who didn't even warm up, smiled sitting on the bench.
Bale's contract ends in June and his renewal remains in doubt. He has not played for Madrid since August 28.

When Ancelotti was asked why Bale didn’t come on or whether he is punished? He replied “I have nothing to say. There is no punishment. Ceballos and Vallejo did not play either... They are at the same level as the others who have not played. You have to be fair”
It seems Bale’s immediate in the team will be limited.
