Ghana champions Asante Kotoko regrouped today after their exploits in the African Champions League were not enough to get them to the next round of the competition last Sunday.
The Porcupines were knocked out on penalties by Burkina Faso champions Rail Club du Kadiogo at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi to exit the campaign at the preliminary round stage.
The club resumed training at their Adako Jachie training complex on Tuesday morning to prepare for the defence of the league title they won last season.
Asante Kotoko will honour their first league game of the season on Sunday when they host their arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in Kumasi with two other matches in hand.
Coach Seydou Zerbo and his technical team members, have work on their hands for the reminder of this campaign as Kotoko look to reverse their fortunes.
The club's management, has asked for calmness from their fans ahead of their opening game of the season despite their failure to achieve their ambition in the continental campaign.
They will hope to begin the league season with a win against their bitter rivals, and, this will be the only way to get the support of their fans back after that failure last Sunday.
