The 2022 Ghana Super Cup contest between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak has been moved to Monday, September 5, the Ghana Football Association, (GFA) has announced.
The game was originally scheduled to be played on Sunday, September 4, but, this date has been moved on after some consolations.
Ghana is due to play Nigeria in a two-legged CHAN qualifier for the event in Algeria next year.
The first leg encounter will be played on August 28 in Ghana before the Black Galaxies head to Abuja for the return encounter on September 3.
This, has informed the the Ghana Football Association, GFA, to push forward the Super Cup game to allow players of Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak to be available for the contest.
The Super Cup contest, will be the prerunner to the 2022/23 Ghana football season and, it will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The new season, will start a week after the Super Cup contest with Asante Kotoko looking to retain the league title as Hearts of Oak aim to win the FA Cup trophy for the third season running.
