Asante Kotoko first choice goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has shown readiness to keep his position in the club after extending his contract until 2024. Danlad Ibrahim had a tumultuous occasions in the early part of his career, compelling him to agree to loan spell with clubs such as Berekum Chelsea and King Faisal.
Following the departure of then first choice goalkeeper Razak Abalora, Danlad Ibrahim assumed the position of first choice in the club, aiding Asante Kotoko to win the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
Despite competition from goalkeeper Kwame Baah, Danlad Ibrahim kept his composure to handle the pressure and sail through the storm.
Having renewed his contract, Danlad Ibrahim is tipped to pocket the goal post for Asante Kotoko in both continental and domestic assignments.
Danlad Ibrahim - aside Asante Kotoko - is the first choice goalkeeper for Black Galaxies of Ghana, which became evident when Ghana hosted Benin in the Chan qualifiers. He kept the goal post in the reverse fixture in Benin. A consistent performer devoid of unpardonable blemishes could see him travel with the Senior National team Black Stars of Ghana to Qatar.
