Former South Korea Coach Linked With Black Stars Job

FIFA World Cup: South Korea Coach Paulo Bento Steps Down After <a class=Brazil Defeat"/>

The senior national team of Ghana has had its head coach role become vacant after their early exit from the World Cup tournament in Qatar this year.

The Black Stars were in a group with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea. Despite losing to Portugal in the first game of the tournament, the team from Africa were clinical against South Korea to record a win that put them on the path of qualification to the round of 16. Despite this, a loss against Uruguay displaced any effort the team had made to qualify from the group.

Eventually, South Korea qualified to the round of 16 after beating Portugal. Brazil lashed South Korea to confirm their exit from the tournament.

Coach Paulo Bento was incharge of South Korea and has been linked with the Black Stars role. It is believed that the coach will be interested in the job if it is offered to him, especially after resigning from the South Korea job.

Other coaches linked with the job include George Boateng and Chris Hughton.
