Manchester City took full advantage of Liverpool's results yesterday. Liverpool was held to a 1-1 at Anfield yesterday. Before that game, they were just a single point behind Man City. The citizens took advantage of the dropped points of their rivals. At the Etihad Stadium this afternoon, Newcastle United was dazed by the performance of their host. They simply couldn't cope with the precision and speed of their hosts. They were handled and bamboozled by Manchester City.
Rahim Sterling scored a brace. He was simply too hot to handle. Golden, Rodri and Laporte were the other players on the score sheet. Newcastle made a lot of errors and was duly punished. Manchester City has now opened a 3 point gap over their rivals, Liverpool. With 3 matches left for the season to end, the race is still very open. It is going to be intriguing how the season will pan out.
