Kotoko cannot go a day without being in the news, for good or bad reasons. In recent times, there are always issues surrounding the club which tarnishes the image and brand of the team. One name that dominates the above is Light fm, a property of the current Board Chairman of Asante Kotoko.
A letter, circulating on the internet, shows Mr. Akwasi Serebour Boateng has sued the Chairman's radio station for defamation. The said man is a former management member of the club.[See picture below]
The presenters named in the letter need no introduction to the Kotoko community. They have constantly bashed the club's CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah. Most supporters never understood why they hadn't already been taken on.
This action may deter the media from making invalid utterances, especially direct attacks on personalities. We all have to keep fingers crossed and observe what happens in the coming days.
The media have the right to make their opinions public, but they have to be within the codes of conduct.
