Sir Alex Ferguson recommends Carlo Ancelotti to take over from Rangnick as Manchester United coach

Still looking for a successor to Ralf Rangnick, the management of Manchester United could look into the file of Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti at the end of the season.

A track directly advised by the legend and former coach of the Red Devils, Sir Alex Ferguson. The more the weeks pass, the more Ralf Rangnick's future seems to be written far from the Manchester United bench. Called to the rescue on November 29 to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the German technician had initially accepted an interim position, which then guaranteed him to join the management of the club all with the objective of straightening the club. Only, after three months, the Red Devils have not really recovered the slope on the sporting level. And then, the atmosphere, already tense after the start of the season, seems to have deteriorated a little more among the residents of Old Trafford.

There have been so many arguments that should stop Rangnick's mission at the end of the current exercise. To replace him, Manchester United leaders also have great ambitions and have already multiplied the avenues of choice with Mauricio Pochettino, the coach of Paris Saint-Germain, Erik Ten Hag, author of a fabulous job with Ajax Amsterdam, or the Spanish coach, Luis Enrique.

Attractive targets, but that's not all. The legend Sir Alex Ferguson interfered in the file, by blowing a new name to the decision makers of MU; that of Carlo Ancelotti, currently stationed at Real Madrid. The legendary United coach has praised the merits and benefits of an induction of the Ancelotti, who has not only extensive experience in European football but also in the English championship, after a successful stint at Chelsea (2009-2011) and more recently an adventure at Everton (2019-2021). The 62-year-old Italian has the necessary qualities, in Ferguson's judgment, to bring his favorite team back to the top. Recommended by Ferguson himself, such a track necessarily deserves consideration, especially since on paper, the operation looks perfectly feasible.

Ancelotti has received his first criticism at Real Madrid since the defeat against PSG (0-1) in the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League, despite a very good job in La Liga with a good lead in the standings. Manchester could therefore have something to play with Ancelotti at the end of the season.
