GFA Secures Lucrative Sponsorship Deal for Juvenile Football in Ghana.

Ghana Football Association has landed a mega sponsorship deal for Juvenile football in the country.

The GFA and KGL foundation agreed a 5 year contract to sponsor the juvenile football with an amount of US$1 million. The deal was announced earlier today at a media event. According to the GFA Boss, Kurt Okraku, KGL foundation will inject $150,000 every year into juvenile football.

Juvenile football was fading off in Ghana untill Kurt came into power and rejuvenated it. Ghana was known to be one of countries with best youthful team some time ago but since there was no effective juvenile football it affected the national teams.

The Ghana Football Association has already made much investment into juvenile or colts league over the past three years and securing this sponsorship deal will help improve it.

Aside that, they also introduced a catch them young referees which is aimed at training the Youth to become Professional Referees.

The GFA president stated that "Colts football had not been played in Ghana for years but thankfully we brought it back and across all the 10 regions juvenile is being played.

“We also introduced the catch them young referees which is aimed at encouraging young persons with enormous passion for refereeing. So this year all our juvenile matches are officiated by kids.”

The CEO of KGL Foundation Mr. Alex Dadey also spoke to the media showing his excitement for securing the deal with the FA "We are happy to partner the GFA again after sponsoring the Black Stars. After that we spoke about helping to project the image of Ghana football”.

“This is inline with our corporate social responsibility as a company”,

Should the GFA be able to secure sponsorships for all the leagues, it will help improve Ghana Football and its future.
