Black Stars Dream Team Emerge, Captain Dede Ayew And Jordan Ayew Missing

Black Stars dream team has emerged ahead of World Cup play-off and Africa Cup of Nations next year.

Milovan Rajevac and his lads will be preparing for the continental competition from next month. Black Stars of Ghana will have to go all out as the country aspires to win the ultimate.

To be able to lift the trophy, Milovan Rajevac will need to assemble the best of material, formidable enough to conquer opponents. Players who have been integral for their clubs are anticipated to earn a call up for the upcoming task. This places emphasis on the need for meritocracy to be basis for invitation any moment from now.

Aside the Africa Cup of Nations, there will be a World Cup play-off for the national team, of which a complete win seals World Cup qualification next year. Same formidable squad will be required to pull off World Cup ticket.

Ahead of the two must-win exercises, a dream team of Black Stars has emerged with goalkeeper Joseph Wallocot manning the goal post. The Ghanaian international recently joined the team but appears to have courted attention and recognition for job done so far. He was on duty when Black Stars battled Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and South Africa in October and November. He comes ahead of other goalkeepers such as Richard Ofori, Lawrence Ati Zigi and Richard Attah.

The defense comprises of Tariq Lamptey at right back, Gideon Mensah at left back and Daniel Amartey -Alexander Djiku as central defenders. Tariq Lamptey is chosen ahead of Andy Yiadom whiles Baba Abdul Rahman gives way to Gideon Mensah. Andy Yiadom and Baba Abdul Rahman have featured in the last few matches for the national side. Amartey and Djiku pair has been consistent in recent games.

In midfield, Thomas Partey and Alfred Duncan are placed in front of the defense with Kudus Mohammed occupying the central midfield role. Between Thomas Partey and Alfred Duncan, one has to move for the other to shield the back lines. The duo could swap when the need arises. Kudus Mohammed will operate at his comfortable position.

The forward line is made up of Kamaldeen Sulemana, Hudson Odoi and Felix Afena-Gyan.

With this dream team, players such as captain Dede Ayew and his brother Jordan Ayew have been eliminated. It will be intriguing how this could be handled if it materializes. They may be invited but will be on the bench. Mubarak Wakaso, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Baba Iddrisu are all missing from the dream team.

Milovan Rajevac could announce his squad for Nations Cup any moment from now.
