The beginning of the 2021/22 season saw some players leave Kumasi Asante Kotoko. These players went to play for other local clubs in the league.
Among these players is Emmanuel Gyamfi who now plays for Aduana Stars. Since the start of the league, the player has been phenomenal. He has scored five goals in nine games in the league.
When the player was asked about his current performance and the reason why he couldn’t do that for Kotoko, he had this to say;
“My former team (Asante Kotoko) is a team dear to my heart but the team is not my bonafide property, I had to make way for others to come because someone left for me to come.
“I am just here to prove to the management that I am good and I know that one day I might come back to the team. I am also playing my heart out because this is where I earn.” - Emmanuel Gyamfi
