Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Razak Abalora has been one of the best goalies in the Ghana Premier League this season. He’s helped Kumasi Asante Kotoko to secure the first position on the league log. He has been at his best, make good saves and has lastly being part of C.K. Akonnor’s squad for the national team in recent weeks.
But currently, his performance has been under criticism by fans and pundits, as a result of the manner and the number of goals that the champion goalie has been conceding. One of the recent errors he committed leading to a goal, was in their last game against Liberty Professionals at Sogakope.
In view of this, the current Black Stars goalie has been excluded from the 18 man squad that will feature for the Porcupine Royals in their game against WAFA this weekend. His exclusion means that, Felix Annan or Kwame Baah will be in the post for the Porcupine Royals this weekend.
Kumasi Asante sit on top of the league table and would have to work hard to maintain their spot. They must do everything to win their upcoming fixture to avoid pressure from second club Accra Hearts of Oak, who have been on a pretty fine form in recent times. Hearts can leapfrog Kotoko if they win this weekend and Kotoko drop points.
