Ajax suffered a humbling 3 – 0 defeat to English Premier League side Liverpool as the Dutch club will now fight for a place in the Europa league.

Ajax started their season with a hot streak of performances and poster boy for the Black Stars of Ghana, Mohammed Kudus was a key member of the side scoring 7 goals in 8 appearances.

However, his role has since been limited with Ajax coach preferring to play Brian Brobbey as their point of attack. Kudus was a used substitute in their last game against Liverpool despite netting in the first leg against the same opponent.

Speaking about the headache involved in selecting the two players, Coach Alfred Schreuder said “Kudus or Brobbey? It’s always a difficult choice. But we are very satisfied with the development of Brobbey in the past few weeks."

Mohammed Kudus is one of the names that is expected to be in the Black Stars squad for the World Cup in Qatar next month.
