Former South Korean Coach to Succeed Otto Addo?

Reports in the media indicate that, the Ghana Football Association has shortlisted former South Korea head coach, Paulo Bento for the vacant Black Stars coaching job.

The Portuguese led the Asian country to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar where the team managed to finish at the round sixteen stage.

The South Koreans lost to the Black Stars by 3-2 in the group H second game and Ghana deems it fit to appoint their former coach who stepped down from his role after the World Cup.

The Black Stars on the hand managed to claim just a win and two losses in the group and in the process exited the tournament at the first stage.

The Black Stars lost their opening game to Portugal by 3-2 before coming back stronger to beat South Korea 3-2 in the second game.

The Black Stars third and final game was however horrible as they lost to old foes, Uruguay by 2-0 to get eliminated from the tournament.

The Black Stars were making their fourth appearance at the World Cup after their maiden edition in Germany 2006 and subsequently in South Africa and Brazil respectively.
