EFL REVIEW: Chelsea vs Southampton

Chelsea, the current Champions League winners, will meet Southampton in the EFL on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea, who are currently in excellent form, would like to put in a strong showing. The Blues will be seeking to continue their excellent form into the match, having won their past four games in all competitions this season.

Thomas Tuchel and his team will be seeking for a win over Southampton in the EFL round 4 matches in order to qualify for the next round.

Southampton, on the other side, has not had a particularly good season. They are presently 16th in the Premier League league, having only won one match thus far.

The Southampton team was held to a 2-2 tie by Burnley in their most recent match.

Chelsea will be in great spirits heading into the game after humiliating Norwich with a 7-0 thrashing at the weekend.

Chelsea are still in excellent form despite the absence of their top strikers, Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner. They have other excellent star players on the team.

Chelsea will be without Christian Pulisic, Ngolo Kante, Romelu Lukaku, and Timo Werner, among others. After missing matches due to injuries, Ngolo Kante and Christian Pulisic are close to returning to full fitness.

Ngolo Kante experienced a muscular ailment, while Pulisic had an ankle issue. Chelsea's summer signing Romelu Lukaku also suffered an ankle injury, while Chelsea's Timo Werner was injured in the hamstring.

Southampton's key striker Broja is doubtful for the match owing to an ankle ailment, while Stephens will also miss the match due to a hamstring issue.
