Accra Hearts of Oak's abysmal season performance has been ascribed to the technical handlers by Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, the former Ghana Football Association President who preceded Ben Koufie and then before Kwesi Nyantakyi.
Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe resigned from his position on May 4, 2005, after a court determined that the Association could move forward with impeachment proceedings against him.
The former President of the Ghana Football Association, Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has consistently voiced his displeasure with the current technical staff of Accra Hearts of Oak, especially when he said he was aware that the players under Samuel Boadu smoked weed before games.
Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe said after their third game, “If support could recollect, I spoke about the problem Hearts of Oak is facing and as a board member, we have done our best for the club. As a club, I can confidently say there is no club in the country whose players and coaches are better than Hearts of Oak."
And his response to a query on the squad available at Accra Hearts of Oak and how they have had a poor start to the season, the Board Member disclosed, "I am very happy that supporters are realising that the problem is the technical team, and when I made mention of that, I was attacked. We have recruited the best players in the country for the technical team, and six of these players are with the Black Galaxies, but look at the results they are churning out.”
In an interview with Asempa FM, the Board Member, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe revealed that the fans of the team are the ultimate arbiters of the technical team's performance during the season.
He stated, “We will leave it for the supporters to judge and see if these quality players are supposed to be churning out such results. Years back, when Hearts of Oak play a game, you don’t ask for the score line but you rather ask for the score line but that is not what we are seeing today.”
