Video: Meet the face behind MTN’s ‘You have one minute remaining’ voice.

Telecommunication is one invention that has significantly aided in the advancement of human life. It has helped us stay connected even when we are separated by a long distance. MTN, AirtelTigo, and Vodafone are among the many telecommunications companies in Ghana. These are Ghana's three major telecommunications companies.

There are times when we receive prompts in the form of voices in telecommunication. Some of the situations in which we receive these prompts include: when your airtime is running low, when the person you're calling has turned off the phone, when the person you're calling is in an area that is not covered by the telecommunication network, and so on. People sometimes wonder who the voices they have been hearing during such incidents are.

A face behind some of the voice prompts we hear on MTN has been revealed in a video that has gone viral on social media. Jessica revealed, in a video that has since gone viral, that she was MTN's voice ambassador and was in charge of some of the company's automated messages.

“I am the one who says the number you’ve dialed cannot be reached at the moment. The mobile equipment is either switched off or out of coverage area,” she said in the video.”

Jessica Opare Saforo is a Ghanaian media personality, entrepreneur, and TV and radio broadcaster. She also hosts Transformation with Jess, Ghana's first weight loss reality TV show. She is the founder of The Voice Ova Company, a company that specializes in the management of voice talent. Saforo has worked in radio for about 20 years and television for about 16 years, making her one of Ghana's longest-serving presenters.

So now, whenever you hear that voice on MTN, you'll be able to identify the person behind the voice.
