Of late, the rate at which some popular chiefs have been donating expensive items and publicizing such philanthropic acts is just so overwhelming. Not long ago, the Okyenhene made headlines after he shared some huge bundles of money for the students present during the celebration of some festival. As philanthropic as that act might be, some Ghanaians condemned the Okyenhene especially when he has links with the President of the land, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo. The interesting part was that several media houses covered that "money sharing" act.
Today, the Dormaahene also did the unexpected and shared some phones with the residents in his community who participated in communal labour. He gave them one of the latest Samsung Phones, the Galaxy A03 core to the members. Believe me, it is very expensive. He perhaps did it to attract the other residents or inhabitants who felt that participating in communal labour is a waste. Of course, with that act, he might have won for the community some labourers who will help develop the community.
This act made Ghanaians react massively. Check out some of the reactions.
