Accra and Kumasi are bigger than these five(5) countries or cities in the world combined

There are 195 countries in the world. Each country has its total land size which do accommodates its citizens. There are however some cities in the world which are even bigger than some countries as well as other cities. In today's article, let us look at three cities in Ghana which are bigger than some countries and a popular city in the world. 

Accra is the capital city of Ghana and it has a total land size of 225.7 square kilometers.

Kumasi is also the capital for the Ashanti region with a total 254 square kilometers of land size.


Below are some popular countries and city in the world which these Accra and Kumasi in Ghana are bigger than.


#1. Vatican City

This is undoubtedly the smallest country in the world. The country has a total population which is less than one thousand. Vatican City is an independent country confined entirely within Rome, Italy. It has a land size of 0.49 square kilometers. 


#2. Monaco

Monaco has a land size area of 2.1 square kilometers. It has a population close to 40,000 persons. It is bordered by France to the north, east and west, and the Mediterranean sea to the south. Monaco is however a city.


#3. Nauru

This country is quite not well known in Africa. Maybe it is because of its size. It was first known to be an island. The island is located near Tuvalu in an area of the Pacific Ocean known as Micronesia. It has 21 square kilometers of land size.


#4. Tuvalu

Tuvalu is the fourth smallest country in the world. It is located halfway between Australia and Hawaii. It has a total land size of 26 square kilometers.


#5. San Marino

This country is however enclosed in Italy. In other words, Italy bothers all the corners of this country. It has a total land size of 61.2 square kilometers.
