Did you know??? Ghana had acquire 4 Presidential jets since independence

Ghana has since independence bought four jets

The first one was bought 1962 by the Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, our very first presidential jet was a DH 125. Osagyefo used it until he was ousted on the 24th of February 1966.

The second jet is actually what is know as the forca 28. This was the second presidential jet which was then acquired by then General Ignatius Otuo Acheampong. This was acquired in 1966.

And then in 1998, barely two years before he existed the office, former President Jerry John Rawliings bought the third presidential jet. This was the Gulfstream GIII. Was bought from the Americans. Its purchase brought about a massive controversy with the then opposition said we didn’t need the jet and it was a massively abused option for a commercial flight.

The falcon 900 is the very last time we bought a jet. It is actually the current and fourth presidential jet which was purchased during former President John Agyekum Kuffour’s time.
