Nice Places to Visit in Ghana

Ghana is a West African country with a population of 30million people. Ghana is known across the globe for its hospitable and peaceful inhabitants.

Due to the pandemic many countries have placed a ban on international travels of which Ghana is one but I would want to entreat you to visit Ghana after the ban on international travels is lifted because of its tourist attractions. The following places of scenery is why you must visit Ghana.

  1. The Kakum National Park

The park is located at the coastal part of Ghana specifically the Central Region of Ghana. It covers an area of 375 square kilometers and was established in 1931 as a reserve. In 1992, it was gazetted as a national park. The rain is covered with tropical rain forest. It is among 3 others in African with a canopy walkway of 350 meters (1,150ft) long and connects seven tree tops which provides access to the forest.


2.Nzulenzu

Nzulenzu is a village on stilts . The village of Nzulenzu is located near the village of Beyin, 90 kilometers west of Takoradi, in the Jomoro District of the Western Region of Ghana.

Nzulezo overlooks the Lake Tadane, and is entirely made up of stilts and platforms. In 2000, it was nominated as a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE, and it is a major toirist attraction area.

3.Cape Coast Castle

The Cape Coast Castle is located at the Central region of Ghana.Cape Coast Castle is one of about forty "slave castles", or large commercial forts, built on the Gold Coast of West Africa by European traders. It was originally a Portuguese trading post, established in 1555. However, in 1653 the Swedish African Company constructed a timber fort there. It originally was a centre for the trade in timber and gold. It was later used in the trans-Atlantic slave trade. They were used to hold slaves before they were loaded onto ships and sold in the America , especially the Caribbeans. 4.Mole National Park

The park is located in the Savannah region of Ghana.The Mole National Park was the first national park to be established in Ghana. It covers an area of 4912km. The park is the widest range of wildlife in Ghana and the only place in Ghana one can experience elephants in the wild. Apart from the elephants, you can see antelope, bushbucks, baboons, warthogs and a couple of small wildlife.

5.Boti Falls

Boti falls is located 17km North-East of Koforidua, the eastern regional capital of Ghana.River Pawnpawn which forms the falls takes its source from Ahenkwa Amalapko before falling over an igneous rock at Boti Langmase that is how the falls got its name.
