A Boeing 727 cargo plane attempting to land at the international airport in Ghana’s capital crashed on Saturday, slamming into a bus with 10 passengers on a nearby street, killing all persons in the bus.
One will ask, how did this happened. How can a plane which is made to fly in the air crash with a bus made to to move by road.
The plane was from Nigeria to Ghana. On arrival at the Kotoka international airport, it run out of highway and boundary. The plane went out of its boundary and crashed through the airport net boundary.
This did not end there, it went straight into a highway outside the Kotoka international airport and collided with a bus with passengers on board. On impact with the bus, it killed all ten passengers including the driver of the bus. This news broke the internet in 2012 and it became a news on every television channel in the world.
However, crew members on the plane survived with minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
It was a sad day for Ghana and the world. The president at that time was Late Professor John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills. He visited the scene of the incident and met the family of the deceased 10.
