The country’s security services are still struggling for clues on how to deal with the many robbery cases reported this year. The day-light robbery at Jamestown of a bullion van on June 14th, 2021, perhaps, sums up the daring militant posture that armed robbers have assumed.

The robbery of the police officer recently in the bullion van seems to be an inside job, this is because according to sources the police officer and driver were not the only people in the car but two female tellers were. This is doesn't seem to be the first time, that something like this have happened involving tellers in banks.
There have been two females accused of being part players in the recent bullion van attack. The attack which happened at James town led to the death of a police officer. There were a few casualties with these women who were tellers at the back seat and unharmed.

It seems the robbery case of nowadays are being duplicated which in that case many people are afraid when going to work or traveling. Last week was a sad week in Ghana as armed men attacked a bullion van loaded with an undisclosed amount of money around Jamestown, in Accra. The robbers sadly succeeded in getting away with an unspecified amount of money and ended up murdering two people in the process, a police officer who was on an escort duty and a trader were all shot dead.
We live in dangerous times with the level of sophisticated fire arms within the public space. Ghana is not a country where guns and for that matter, high-rated arms are patronized by the civilian population. In the first place, it’s a real difficulty getting such arms here in Ghana.
An ex-convict Tetteh Teye, has charged the Ghana Police Service and specifically the Criminal Investigation Department(CID) not to rule out the two ladies who work for the financial institutions who were in the bullion van during the bloody robbery attack. The former prisoner, who spent twenty years in jail was speaking on Kasapa Radio which was also telecast on Agoo TV.
An ex-convict by the name, Tetteh Teye who served 20 years at the Nsawam prisons has advised the Ghana Police Service that, bank tellers should not be left out in their investigations on bank robbery cases based on his experience. Speaking to Kasapa 102.5FM and also live on Agoo TV today 19th, June 2021 on a show tagged “Ghana Kasa”, Tetteh Teye talked from experience, that some bank tellers do serve as informants to armed robbers in the country.

A former inmate who served in the Nsawam Prison for about 20 years is of the view that the two tellers or, say, accountants, in the bullion van carrying cash at Adedemkpo in James Town at Accra which was attacked by unknown gunmen, are arrested and relevant questions asked them to speed up the search for the perpetrators of the sad incident.
