S/R: Daboya Bridge Project Ready For Takeoff

Construction work on a bridge over the White Volta at Daboya in the North Gonja District of the Savanna Region to begin in the coming weeks following the significant progress made with ground works to aid smooth take off of the project. The Daboya bridge together with two new bridges to be constructed at Buipe and Yapei, all in the Gonjaland, will  cost $100 million.

A report shared by the Ghana Meteorological Agency had warned that the southern part of the country would be hit by some thunderstorms and rains. Following a downpour on Wednesday, June 30th, 2021, certain areas of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis flooded. The Takoradi to Western-North main route's Apowa St Mary's -Sky Limit road was clogged with vehicular traffic after a five-hour downpour. Many commuters were stuck in traffic for several hours.

Tarkwa senior High School in the Western region of Ghana has been flooded by a heavy downpour in the early hours of Thursday 8th July, 2021. Mr. Isaac Sowah, the assistant headmaster in charge of academics confirmed the incident. He said the school was shocked to witness such incident.
