More than 3,000 delegates attended the 30th biennial General Council Meeting of the church yesterday night at the University of Cape Coast.
Current Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was a member of the Methodist Church's Boys Brigade, according to retired public worker Mr. Samuel Kwasi Ankamah. He questioned why some people are attempting to make fun of Dr. Bawumia's admission that he formerly belonged to the association in the church, describing him as a unifier who does not discriminate along religious lines and noting that it was a way of life he grew up with.
