Despite the Cedi's appreciation, retailers are refusing to lower food costs for the holidays.
A few dealers at the Makola Market, one of the greatest exchanging outlets the More prominent Accra Locale, are reluctant to decrease the costs of food wares notwithstanding a sharp fall in the dollar conversion scale. "We can't lessen the costs of certain things, since we don't think the ongoing Cedi appreciation is economical," Lady Abena Frimpong, a broker at the Market, told the Ghana News Organization (GNA) Business Work area.
