Ghana card issuance and registration commencing date
Abdul Ganiyu, the head of corporate Affairs at the National Identification Authority(NIA) has made it clear that the Ghana Card registration will begin on 17th November,2021. Issuance of backlog of cards for persons who have already registered will also begin from 8 to16, 2021.
Financial Institutions given 'grace period' until January 2022 to start using Ghana Card - NIA
The Head of Corporate Affairs of the National Identification Authority (NIA), Mr. Abudu Abdul Ganiyu has hinted that all the financial institutions in the country would soon have to resort to the Ghana Card as the main means of identifying their clients early next year. He made this statement while being interviewed on Neat FM, a media house under the Despite Media Group umbrella today in Accra.
