17 bodies kept for 18 years due to chieftaincy dispute are to be buried to rest today

Seventeen members of the Agona Royal Family who passed on between 2005 and 2020 are to be buried today, November 23, 2022. These bodies were kept in the morgue for almost two decades because of unsettled chieftaincy disputes. According to a report by a Kumasi-based reporter, the Royal Family failed to perform funeral rites for deceased family members because a chief had not been enstooled yet.

A man believed to be in his late 30s had shot himself to death at Agona Port near Diaso in the Upper Denkyira West District,Central region. According to reports, the deceased whose name was only mentioned as devine, passed on on saturday . The deceased according to reports firstly shot his ankle before shooting his ribs which the bullet failed to penetrate in both attempts because he is believed to have been spiritually fortified against gun shots.
