There is currently a bill before Parliament regarding LGBT. Sam George and his team of other MPs have presented a bill seeking to criminalize acts of LGBT people. Though a majority of Ghanaians stand with the bill, there are a few who have risen to speak against the bill.
Last week and this week has been characterized by debates as to whether criminalizing homosexuality was the best way to go. Majority of Ghanaians have thrown their full support behind Ghanaian legislator, Sam George, so that the anti LGBTQ bill is passed as soon as possible. Also, some strong force consisting of lawyers and professors have provided logical explanation on why the bill may not be the best solution.
