Assistant Headmaster of the Mpatasie D/A Junior High School situated in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region has died in a galamsay in a mining pit. Officials say the deceased, Akwasi Anane, 47, was reported dead after he visited one of his mining concessions on Tuesday night at 9pm.

Armed men numbering four and wielding pump action guns attacked gold buyers in mossikrom, a town in the Amansie south district of the Ashanti region in the early hours of this morning . Speaking on Nhyira Fm in kumasi to Obidehye3 Ofori Amanfo this morning, a resident of the town who is an eye witness said the robbers entered the town from a nearby forest on foot between 1 am and 2am on the 17th of June 2021, broke into the home of a gold dealer and took away an unspecified amount of money from him, took him round the town to show them all other gold dealers and mobile money operators he knew.
