Sofo Kumchacha have spoken his mind on the anti-LGBTQI+ bill, saying any pastor, or professor, or doctor, or politician who doesn't want to agree to the bill and therefore want to approve gayism and lesbianism in Ghana can take the bible to court. Kumchacha says the bible frowns on this, quoting from Proverbs 30:19 that the way of a man is with a maid.
As Parliament prepares to enact an anti-LGBTQI+ bill that would ban same-sex conduct in Ghana, Nigel Gaisie, a controversial soothsaying preacher, has warned Ghanaians to expect more surprises. The Church of Pentecost has officially cemented its name as one of the churches that sees the full importance of legislation of the “Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill.” This bill seeks to criminalize the activities of the LGBTQI+ in Ghana. In fact, a survey shows that 90% of Ghanaians are for this bill and therefore the churches are highly confident about their support.
The Former Tamale Central Member of Parliament (MP), Inusah Fuseini said the Anti LGBTQI+ bill in its current form is retrogressive because the law itself sometimes goes backwards. The reason why he said the law sometimes goes backwards is that, the law progresses and if someone do certain things today which is not right and then that same person does it tomorrow, it sometimes become a right.
Ghanaians are massively against this act Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI) community. They says is against their culture, custom and traditions, and they will never allow them to penetrate into our society. The sentiment and the kind of emotions associated with legislating against this practice is very high.
