[VIDEO]: The Residents Of Apiate Should Stay Away From That Community - Kokofu

The Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu cautions residents of Apiate to stay away from that community due to the nature of the land. According to Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, some residents of Apiate are building new houses on the land that was destroyed by the Gas explosion whiles others are rebuilding the old one.

Some of the people lost their lives and others were critically injured. Those who were sent to the hospital receiving treatment also complain to the government to come for their aid because they can't pay their bills and also they have lost all their assets in the incident.

The company which was transporting explosives that caused the accident at Apiate was warned severally that a disaster was imminent. This is according to WhatsApp voice messages, which, according to my sources, were sent to the manager of the company when he refused to pick his calls.

Doctors remove hot coaltar from the stomach of one of the victims injured in the Apiate explosion

Doctors had to extract hot bitumen (coaltar) from the stomach of one of those who incurred injuries at the accident scene, according to the CEO of the Bogoso InnerCity Hospital, where some victims of the Apiate explosion were sent for medical care. According to Dr. Boakye Yiadom, the hospital's CEO, part of the asphalt overlay on the roadway melted due to the heat and pressure of the explosion, flew to burn the victim's garments, and bored a tunnel to lodge inside the man's belly.
