Assin State College is fast becoming one of the WASSCE favourites owing to their recent outstanding performance in the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination. Assin State College was part of the 2019 National Maths And Science Quiz competition and also took part in the just ended 2020 National Maths And Science Quiz (NSMQ) In 2019's National Maths And Science Quiz (NSMQ) competition, Assin State College (ASCO) presented form two students and were able to compete with big secondary schools like

NMSQ: Assin States College beats Winneba SHS to qualify for 2022 National Competition
Assin State College has qualify for the National level of the National Maths and Science Quize Competition, 2022 edition. The school which was in the quarterfinals with the likes of Prempeh College, Legon Presec, Opoku Ware Senior High School in 2021 in the competition met some four strong schools in the Central Region.

Mr. Charles Opoku, the CEO of Akosua Baako Foundation has made a donation to Assin State College at Assin Bereku in the Central Region of Ghana. This was made today, Friday 11th February, 2022 at the Campus of Assin State College. It includes students beds and a sum of Ghc 11,300.00 to the management of the Akosua Baako Hostel.
NSMQ 2021: Mfantsipim floors Adisadel, University Practice and Assin State to win C/R championship
Mfantsipim Senior High has won the 2021 edition of the Central Regional National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).The Botwe Boys, as they are affectionately called, put up a spirited performance to emerge as winners of the regional contest.They won the regional competition after defeating Adisadel College, University Practice and Assin State College.

The competition is set to take off on Tuesday the 29th of September, 2020. The one - eighth stage will see different High schools battling with each other to book a place in the next stage of the competition.
