According to the personal assistant of Judicial Board Chairman Kwesi Ameyaw Cheremeh, Labour Minister Honorable Ignatius Baffour Awua has sold his property ( A football team) to his boss. The transaction which wasn't private or hidden attracted many media houses and sports fanatics. The sold property is the Baffour Soccer Academy located at Nsoatre in the Bono Region of Ghana.
Popular Musician and social media sensation, Kwame A Plus has called on authorities to ban the Nsoatre football team and it's supporters which beat Tamale City team for 50 years. In a post shared on his official Facebook page on, Sunday, 8th May 2022, he wrote;
The National Division One League, DOL resumes in midweek with the Matchday 26 action in all three zones nationwide. In Zone One, leaders Tamale City FC will host Bofoakwa Tano on Tuesday as they seek to secure qualification to the Ghana Premier League, GPL next season.
National Division One League, DOL sides Tamale City, Nzema Kotoko and Liberty Professionals all recorded wins in the ongoing campaign as the season unfolds. These came on Matchday 20 action in the competition as clubs in the second tier league in Ghana battle to gain promotion to the Ghana Premier League, GPL.
Matchday 18 action in the national Division One League, DOL started on Saturday with some interesting results as the battle for qualification to the top-flight unfolds. In Zone One, Steadfast FC beat Baffour Soccer Academy 3-0 at Tamale to keep them in the running for qualification; Unity FC drew goalless with Tano Bofoakwa at home also in Zone One.
Tensions are high as the division one league of Zone 1 reaches a crescendo. Two teams go head-to-head in a bid to gain promotion into the Ghana Premier League(GPL). The last round of games will see Dreams Tamale host Baffour Soccer Academy from Nsoatre. The first leg of the game between Tamale FC and Baffour SA didn't end on a good note.
