Police have arrested five persons in the Bono East Region in the Kintampo Municipality for allegedly dealing in hard drugs. The police also recovered 287 wrapped substances which they suspected to be Indian hemp. Local media said Wednesday that one person was confirmed dead and nine others were injured in a conflict between youth and police in Nkoranza, a hamlet in central Ghana's Bono East Region.
