Monday, 25th October 2021 The Electoral Commission of Ghana has requested the Ghana Police Service to immediately investigate the former president John Dramani Mahama for a series of allegations he had leveled against the commission. In a press conference organised at the EC head office in Accra today to review the 2020 election, which was telecast live on Joynews, Dr. Bossman Asare said the allegations of electoral fraud against the EC were not true.
It is believed that Dr. Bossman Asare and other EC Officials were kicked out from a parliamentary meeting after they failed to justify the absence of Jean Mensah before the committee. Reacting to this development, the former Member of Parliament for the Binduri constituency, Dr. Kuganab-Lem Robert, has indicated that the absence of the EC Chairperson, Jean Mensah, from Parliament yesterday was deliberate because she has accomplished her task.
