At the Cape Coast Circuit Court today, a 19 years old boy has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment with hard labour for armed robbery. Emmanuel Addae, a resident of Assin Fosu who is popularly called Kofi Yesu together with a friend, stole from a young lady and injured her with a cutlass.
News coming in indicates that the boyfriend of the student who was murdered in school has been arrested. The police suspects that Nicholas Ato Bronk Taylor knows something about the murder of the girl. They believe that since he is the girlfriend of the girl, he must know a lot of information about the girl and other secret revelations.
A Cape Coast Circuit Court has sentenced the surviving driver Mr Mark Mireku in the accident that claimed 34 lives at Dompoase on the Cape Coast-Takoradi Highway to 12 months in prison. A Cape Coast Circuit Court has remanded three men into prison custody for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old girl at Abura Edumfa in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District of the Central Region. The Central Regional Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has been granted bail by a Cape Coast Circuit Court. Kwesi Dawood, who has been accused of sleeping with his own daughter was granted a 30,000 Cedis bail by the Court. It was his first appearance in Court after his arrest by the Police.
A Cape Coast Circuit Court has sentenced a 22 year old washing bay attendant to five years imprisonment in hard labour for possessing narcotic (Sedative) drugs. The convict, Kwaku Mensah pleaded guilty to three counts of possessing narcotic drugs, unlawful entry and stealing upon which Court presided over by Mrs Abena Amponsah Boansi convicted him on his own plea. The convict is already serving a six month jail term after pleading guilty to unlawful entry and stealing, but the court deferred the sentence on
Patrick Nyarko, an SHS 2 student of the Assin Manso Senior High School has deen jailed for 10 years.The Cape Coast Circuit Court, presided by Her Honour Dorinda Smith Arthur sentenced Patrick to serve 10 years in prison.Patrick Nyarko who was mainly charged for sexually assaulting 18 months old twins pleaded guilty to the court.
