The government releases over GH¢67 million to Colleges of Education to feed teachers trainees

A report came that teachers trainees were instructed to start funding their own feeding program from May 8, 2022. This is because the a message from National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education – Ghana (PRINCOF) says the feeding of teacher trainees needs to be canceled due to a huge debts owned by the government.

Just some few days ago, Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana abbreviated as TTAG engaged with the management and stakeholders of university of cape Coast (UCC) to extend the revision period for student teachers particularly the level 200 students. However, UCC agreed with TTAG and had extended the duration or period for revision to a week. The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) in due course will release the appointment letters for 2017, 2018 trained teachers backlog who applied for the recruitment this year July, Education Minister has disclosed.
