The member of parliament for Asutifi South, Hon. Collins Dauda has been granted self-recognizance bail after he made a first appearance to an Accra High court to defend criminal charges leveld against him by the Nana Addo government. He is standing trial with four others for wilfully causing financial loss to the state to the tune of $200m.

The Attorney General, Godfred Yeboah Dame, has begun legal proceedings in the High Court against the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South Constituency, Alhaji Collins Dauda, and four others. The five are being sued for causing financial loss to the state in the Saglemi Affordable Housing Project, which was expected to provide 5,000 housing units.
