The arrest follows a misunderstanding between some youth in Tamale and the Police after some residents were brutalise for alleged illegal power connections. Ya-Na Abukari II, the overlord of Dagbon has told the Police Command to stop arresting persons involved in recent disturbances in the Tamale that led to the vandalizing of public properties. In a brief statement of the chief of Dagbon, “His Majesty is also, with immediate effect, advising the police command and other security forces involved in this exercise to avoid the arrest of the youth while he finds an amicable solution to the impasse,” the statement read.
