The year 2021 has seen some police officers meeting their untimely deaths. The circumstances through which they died have since been described as unfortunate. Some of them died in the line of duty whilst others had confrontations with their partners and as a result, were murdered. There are others who died through natural means.

She died painfully after her boyfriend allegedly stabbed her at Damango where she was stationed. A mini bus with car number AS 1763-13 crushed into a truck travelling from Kumasi to Yendi at Buepe and the driver of the mini bus, Shaibu died. The mini bus was called in from Damango to pick up passengers at Buepe. On reaching Buepe, the driver tried to do overtaking and crushed into an incoming cargo truck.
Constable Sandra Asiedu was found dead in her room in Damango in the Savannah region. She a resident of Obuasi and was stationed in Damango. It was reported that her boyfriend visited her from Obuasi, and that was how the boyfriend stabbed her to death. The boyfriend is currently on the run.
Damango is located in the Savannah region which was created by Constitutional Instrument one hundred and fifteen of 2019. It is the town capital in the West Gonja Municipal. Damango is governed traditionally by the overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, the "Yagbonwura". It has some very important tourist sites there too.

Ghana Health Service says all seven District in the Savannah region has now recorded cases of Yellow fever diseases. At least three more people have succumbed to yellow fever in the Savannah region as of today 25th November 2021, the Ghana health services has said. This brings the death toll to 32, since the outbreak of the disease in the region last month.
